Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Coordinates, monitors and reports on inbound material shipment issues, ensures shipments smoothly and efficiently, Shipment cost analysis and cost saving.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Coordinates with logistic services providers to arrange for shipments and keep the user department posted on the latest status of the goods.
- Coordinates with relative department to ensure proper and necessary shipping documents are received and delivered.
- Coordinates with Warehouse and Customs Affairs Section to expedite the delivery of urgent Shipment.

- Ensures the shipping records are properly maintained.
- Creates and maintains guidelines and standards for proper shipping methods.

- Recommends and implements new shipping procedures as necessary.

- Resolves invoice issues by working with Finance, Business Development and Operations.

- Assists with special expedite needs (i.e., airfreight, counter-to-counter shipments, etc.).

- Monitors and reports shipments results.
- Works under minimum supervision, subject to monthly or quarterly review.

- Supports the resolution of shipment issues and leverages contacts at carriers to mitigate delivery issues.

- Continually interfaces with all other departmental users within the plant operations.
- Provides cost analysis and improvement solutions for projects.
- Provides logistics solution design for projects.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
- Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
- Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
